Amy Sheehy began
her career as an Equine Podiatrist in 2003
after receiving her degree from the International
Institute of Equine Podiatry. Since then, she has helped
hundreds of horses back to soundness and health. Amy has
worked with horses her entire life, they have always
been a passion. Her own horse had become navicular at 6
years of age, which is what began her journey into
natural hoof care. After seeing how it helped her own
horse, Larry (pictured right), Amy left her Architecture
career in the dust and went back to school for Equine
Podiatry. Even today she is constantly learning
everything she possibly can about proper hoof care,
proper hoof function and how it relates to environment
and nutrition. She is currently dedicated to learning
from various sources in including Pete Ramey, and Dr.
Robert Bowker . Amy currently travels to clients as well
as taking in horses to completely rehab when owners do
not have the time, facility, or environment to do so on
their own.
